The Beginning of Journey 1

You are alone in the Boardroom.  The meeting is over, Board members gone, but tension still hangs in the air.  Coming up to one full year as CEO, you have just failed for the third time to get your strategic vision proposal over the line with the Board.  Board members disagree as to what they don't like, but none of them agree with you.  You didn't bring in any of your executive team today because you know that most of them would back down if strongly challenged, and it would be obvious that your leadership isn't all that it should be.  Where do you turn, what do you do?
