Our clients tell us that we have taken them on journey. Come along for a few moments and give it a try.

Imagine, you are leading an organisation with a vision and a drive to do and be more in a world that is in a state of rapid discontinuous change. You want to make a difference, and you want your organisation to make a difference in the world.

Yet before you even begin, you feel frustrated and overwhelmed by the enormity of the change that you envisage. It just hasn't been done before; or, you may have already let go of your vision, resigned that it is unlikely to happen in your time as a leader or with this organisation.

Along comes someone with a set of tools and supplies. You tell him about your frustrations and your dreams. He tells you that whilst he hasn't seen the place that you describe exactly - he knows that it exists.  
He also tells you that he knows of a way that you can get there.  He says if you like, he can walk with you and show you how to use these tools and supplies to get you and your organisation where you want to go.

You feel understood, he hears you and you trust him. You feel hope, and a new energy.

You say - yes, thank you - and you start walking together . As you walk he starts to teach you and show you the tools. Although you've seen some of these tools before, you realise that there is way of applying them that you hadn't considered. You begin to understand more deeply how to work them and use them. Moments of clarity and understanding show up as signposts on the road, letting you know that you are getting closer. Soon you are more independent, and he is less and less directly involved.

As the journey draws to a close you realise that there is another destination that is even more important to your purpose than the one you first imagined. And you also recognise that from your starting point, you could not have know n this.  From this pinnacle, you can see a new horizon. How will you get to a place that you have never even imagined before?

Suddenly the most important awareness dawns upon you : the only way to do the journey is - is to do it. The knowledge and the understanding come from the experience, and you know you will find what you need on the way .
